Structural Steel Deckers Wanted - Greater Austin Area

Central Texas Steel Erectors is hiring experienced Structural Steel Deckers for commercial projects throughout the Greater Austin Area.

Pay & Benefits

$28.00 to $32.00/hour (depending on experience)
Overtime available
Steady, long-term work

Job Responsibilities

Install metal roof and floor decking on structural steel buildings
Lay out, position, and secure metal decking
Install sidelaps, closures, and pour stops
Operate screw guns, welding equipment, and powder-actuated tools as required
Read and interpret structural drawings and deck layouts
Work safely at heights while maintaining OSHA safety standards
Work efficiently with the steel erection crew to keep projects on schedule

Requirements

Previous structural steel decking experience required
Experience installing metal deck on commercial steel structures
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work at heights and lift 50+ lbs.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment
